Museum Mystery Talk & Buffet
Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (EDT)
Sheila Connolly is currently the author of two mystery series, the Orchard Mysteries and the Museum Mysteries, and she will soon be introducing the County Cork Mysteries set in Ireland. She is also a former staff member at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania. Connolly will lead a lively discussion about how real events and people inspired her first Museum Mystery novel Fundraising the Dead, which is set at the fictional Society for the Preservation of Pennsylvania Antiquities.
Join us at the Franklin Inn Club for a dinner buffet with wine starting at 6 p.m. followed by a discussion at approximately 6:45 p.m.
RSVP needed by September 6, 2012.
When & Where
The Franklin Inn Club
The Franklin Inn Club (FIC) is one of many quaint institutions that have characterized Philadelphia since its earliest days. Now, in its second century, the FIC began as a watering hole for writers of all sorts: novelists, poets, academic scholars, journalists, contributors to trade and professional publications, etc.
Today, members share an interest in the arts, education, social and political affairs, history, science, economics, and culture broadly defined as well as a love for reading across these areas of human endeavor.
The club has daily lunch, with argument, at long tables, and weekly roundtable discussions with an invited speaker.
